Usher in sth (phrasal verb)

●Cause or mark the start of something new.

  (宣告/迎接…的来临)

Examples:  

1.The railways ushered in an era of cheap mass travel.

2.We ushered in the new year with a celebration.

Lay the foundation(s) of/for sth (idiom)

●To produce the basic ideas or structures from which something much larger develops.(为…打下基础)

Examples:  

1.The two leaders have laid the foundations of a new era in cooperation between their countries.

2.Her early research laid the foundation for many important medical discoveries.

Roll out (phrasal verb)

●To introduce or implement.(推出,出台)

Examples:  

1.Every year they roll a new smartphone out that is meant to make your current one seem obsolete.

2.A media campaign is expected to roll out early next year.

Live up to sth (phrasal verb)

●To be as good as what was expected or promised.

  (无愧于…,不辜负…)

Examples:  

1.The breathtakingly beautiful scenery certainly lived up to expectations.

Hang on sb/sth (phrasal verb)

●To be dependent on someone or something.

(有赖于…,取决于…)

Examples:  

1.Everything hangs on the result of the last race.  

2.Whether or not I enjoy this weekend hangs on what the doctor tells me when he calls.
